The view towards the lake. Where I am standing to take the photo is where Leigh Park House used to stand. It was demolished in the late 1950s and the land was given to the people of Leigh Park in perpetuity. This brickwork is all that is left of the house.

Taken in 16:9 format, so probably best viewed large.

I only visited the park for about an hour and a half.........as it was too hot for me to stay longer. As you can see the grounds were almost deserted, but it was nice to get out and stretch my legs for a while ;-)

This is the view from a railway bridge about 2 miles or so from where I live.

I pretty much gave up trying to visit your photos and leave comments etc, yesterday, after trying on and off for hours. This has just taken me nearly 10 minutes to load, so I'm not hopeful for today either :-(

Muddy Footpath and Fields

One of the footpaths I use fairly regularly...........it only takes a bit of rain to make it difficult to use. Horses are also kept in the fields (check out the PiP).

It doesn't look like it, but this is a quite affluent area, with some lovely houses.

Taken from a very muddy footpath in Havant, Hampshire. The landscape here is mainly fields. I just thought the large tree looked good against the sky.

There are two more images in the PiPs if you care to look.

These were all taken at around 9am this morning, which was the first day for about a week where we haven't woken up to heavy clouds or rain. Such a pleasure to see.

All three shots were taken through the upstairs windows of my house, which is the only place I can get photos without showing all the houses. cars, lamp posts etc in the road.

Ipernity seems to be behaving itself today (so far). I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Taking during a walk in my local country park a couple of days ago.

In the distance where the woodland ends is where our local water company is building a gigantic reservoir.........it won't be finished until sometime in 2029. It will eventually become part of the country park once it's been filled and properly landscaped,

There are quite a few overhanging trees on this stretch of the trail, which I think make a nice contrast against the light.

The Hayling Billy Line was a railway that ran from Havant to Hayling Island, between1867 to 1963. Today, the disused line has been converted into the Hayling Billy Trail, a popular and accessible public footpath, cycleway, and bridleway.

This is a stream than runs along part of the trail, taken during a walk today.

We had a bit of sunshine today and so I had a drive out to our local country park for a walk. It was bitterly cold and I didn't stay out too long. This is a view from the path into the woods. Definitely no signs of spring around yet!
