I'm tagging this as Californian, though I bought it here, at an estate sale. I think most of the fancier labels got grabbed first, but my finds were inexpensive and in very good shape. So I don't mind.

I believe it's Californian and from the 1950s based on info from this collector/seller.

But the owner, Vahlsing, also operated in Maine and I guess landed himself in some very hot water in the 1970s. You never know what you'll learn on a name search!

Shown slightly smaller than the original size.

I like how they're both all dressed up in their Sunday best just for their trip to the pantry. These fashions seem a little passe' for 1962, though. Perhaps there was some recycling going on.
