Two of my mates who came with me to explore West Norwood Cemetery. I've now seen six of the Magnificent Seven. I'll do Nunhead on my next visit and then I'll have to start over by revisiting Highgate.

We collected the new hens today. Six point-of-lay Isabrowns. They are apparently good-natured - cross between Rhode Island Red and Sussex Buff.

I found this 5x3 snap in a drawer and scanned it for your amusement. I think the nattily-dressed concerned couple really make the picture.
This is the early sixties - I am 6 or 7 years old. The location is probably London Zoo, but it might be Whipsnade.
Photo almost certainly taken by my uncle Dudley Brand, a talented photographer.
