The first games took place in 776 B.C. Participants and spectators from all over Greece took part. They were held continuously over 293 Olympiads until the Roman Emperor Theodosius I banned the Games in 393 AD, as he considered them a pagan cult.&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
The museum's Neoclassical building was completed in 1888. It stands on a hill about 400 meters northwest of Altis, across the bridge over the Kladeos.&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;br /&gt;
In February 2012, an armed robbery was committed at the museum, during which numerous exhibits were stolen. However, the theft was solved in November 2012, and the items were recovered.&lt;br /&gt;

    <title>Cause I don&amp;#039;t have to - but I can....</title>

Heute war ein stressiger Tag, ich war unterwegs und hatte allerhand zu tun, keine Zeit zu fotografieren.&lt;br /&gt;
Abends bin ich dann noch schnell auf meine Wiese gelaufen, um ein Bild zu machen.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Das Motiv war schon nach wenigen Metern gefunden. Also das Bild gemacht. Dazu mit langer Brennweite ein paar Meter vor dem Blütenstand ganz tief runter (sagte ich schon, dass es kürzlich geregnet hat?) und den richtigen Bildausschnitt gewählt.&lt;br /&gt;
Zurück an den PC, auf dem großen Monitor angesehen. Im Prinzip nicht schlecht, aber zu unruhig. Ein paar Grashalme, ein paar vertrocknete Blütenstände müssen noch weg.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also nochmal raus, ein paar Gräser weggezupft, paar Meter zurück, runter, durch den Sucher - nein, das passt noch nicht. Hoch, nach vorne, Motiv frisiert, zurück, neuer Versuch.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
rein an den PC.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Auf einmal aber kommt die Sonne ganz heraus, das gibt bestimmt bessere Bokeh-Effekte. Also: Raus, runter, Bild.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Inzwischen hatten sich einige Nachbarn versammelt - vorher noch beschäftigt, aber dann haben sie sich in eine Gruppe gesellt und beobachtet, was da auf der Wiese so interessant ist.....&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Bei uns im Dorf ist man ja sehr zurückhaltend - man geht also nicht zum Nachbarn und fragt, ob es ihm denn noch gut geht oder es profesionelle Hilfe benötigt. Aber man denkt es sich....&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Na, auf jeden Fall, da ist das Bild. Zur Beruhigung der Nachbarn habe ich es auch in Whatsapp in den Status gegeben - jetzt wissen alle, was so interessant in meiner Wiese ist.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, ein Fotograf, der sich speziell mit Wiesenfotografie beschäftigt hat, ist mir nicht bekannt (Jan Haft ist Filmer). Aber bei verrückten Geschichten fallen mit zwei ein, die ich gerne verlinken möchte:&lt;br /&gt;

The new round trip departs Norwich for Birmingham at 0830 returning from Birmingham at 1500 and is worked by Transport Made Simple/Central Connect/Simonds. This photograph shows YK75 LFV, a Yutong GT12 new in September 2025, at Fiveways, Barton Mills as it worked the inaugural run.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
The original service commenced on Thursday 7 May 2026 and had one round trip departing Birmingham for Norwich at 0840 returning from Norwich to Birmingham at 1450 worked by Prospect Coaches of Lye, near Stourbridge. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The new round trip departs Norwich for Birmingham at 0830 returning from Birmingham at 1500 and is worked by Transport Made Simple/Central Connect/Simonds. This photograph shows YK75 LFV, a Yutong GT12 new in September 2025, at Fiveways, Barton Mills as it worked the inaugural run.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The only intermediate points served on the service are Cambridge and Coventry and the overall journey time is 4 hours 15 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;
