Diese Bank befindet sich ober halb von Weißbach uf dem Treibweg. Besonders lustig fand ich den Milchkrug, der neben der Bank am Baum hängt. Aber nur weil er in der Nähe des Sitzmöbels hängt ist das noch lange keine Milchbank.

Von dem ehemaligien Wärmekraftwerk San Adrían am Rande von Barcelona sind nur noch die drei Schornsteine und das Turbinenhaus erhalten. Das Besondere an der Anlage besteht darin, dass aus Platzmangel die Schornsteine direkt auf die Kesselhäuser gebaut wurden. Damit erreichen sie eine Höhe von 180 Metern und sind nach dem Torre de Collserola das zweithöchste Bauwerk in Katalonien.

Auf dem Tibidabo, dem höchsten Berg der Serra de Collserola wurde 1992 zu den Olympischen Spielen in Barcelona der Fernsehturm Torre de Collserola errichtet. Vor dem Sühntempel des Heiligen Herzens ragt er 288 Meter in die Höhe. Das Besondere an dem Entwurf von Normen Foster ist der Turmkorb. An dem bauchigen Dreieck befinden sich neun Halteseile, die im Boden verankert sind. Durch diesen Kniff gelang es den Turmschaft besonders schmal und elegant zu halten. Er misst gerade einmal 4,5 Meter im Durchmesser.

L’Abbaye des Châteliers fût fondée au XIIème siècle par des moines cisterciens, qui en firent l’une des plus grandes abbayes de l’ouest de la France. Ravagée par les attaques anglaises et de trop nombreuses guerres de religion, l’endroit a laissé place à de superbes vestiges qui rappellent son passé glorieux.

THE RUINS OF THE ABBEY BY THE SEA. They stand amidst the fields, with the sea as a backdrop. The Abbey of Les Châteliers was founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks, who made it one of the largest abbeys in western France. Ravaged by English attacks and too many wars of religion, the site has left behind magnificent ruins that serve as a reminder of its glorious past.

DIE RUINEN DER ABTEI AM MEER. Sie erheben sich inmitten der Felder, mit dem Meer im Hintergrund. Die Abtei von Châteliers wurde im 12. Jh. von Zisterziensermönchen gegründet, die sie zu einer der grössten Abteien im Westen Frankreichs machten. Durch englische Angriffe und zu viele Religionskriege verwüstet, sind heute nur noch beeindruckende Überreste erhalten, die an die glorreiche Vergangenheit dieses Ortes erinnern.

It was built in the 17th century and came into operation in 1682, before being replaced in 1854 by the current ‘Les Baleines’ lighthouse (60 m and 254 steps, see PiP). It once served as a navigational aid (27 m) and as an observation point for maritime traffic. At night, its light was initially fuelled by fish oil and later by coal. In the museum at the foot of the old tower, visitors can explore numerous historical exhibits relating to the operation of the lighthouse.

L'ANCIENNE TOUR a été construite au XVIIe siècle et était en service dès 1682, avant d'être remplacée en 1854 par l'actuel phare "Les Baleines" (60 m et 254 marches, voir PiP). Elle servait jadis d'amer (27 mètres) et de poste d'observation du trafic maritime. La nuit, son feu était d'abord alimenté à l'huile de poisson, puis plus tard au charbon. Au musée situé au pied de l'ancienne tour, on peut découvrir de nombreuses pièces historiques liées au fonctionnement du phare.

DER ALTE TURM wurde im 17. Jh. errichtet und war ab 1682 in Betrieb, bevor er 1854 durch den heutigen Leuchtturm "Les Balaines" ersetzt wurde (60 m und 254 Stufen, siehe PiP). Er diente einst als Seezeichen (27 m) und als Beobachtungspunkt für den Schiffsverkehr. Nachts wurde sein Feuer zunächst mit Fischöl und später mit Steinkohle befeuert. Im Museum am Fusse des alten Turms können zahlreiche historische Exponate rund um den Betrieb des Leuchtturms entdeckt werden.

Rund ein Drittel der Lüneburger Altstadt liegt auf einem oberflächennahen Salzstock. Die Salzgewinnung, die Lüneburg einst reich machte, führte dazu, dass sich das Gelände um 3–5 cm/Jahr (heute bis 3 mm) senkte. In der Folge wurden einige Häuser und zwei Kirchen abgerissen. Zahlreiche Gebäude mussten restauriert werden. Obwohl die Saline 1980 geschlossen wurde, sind die Senkungen noch nicht zum Stillstand gekommen, gut zu erkennen an den Stufen.
Gleich rechts daneben steht die St. Michaeliskirche (PiP). Sie konnte gerettet werden.

I found this toadstool growing on the forest floor and once you take a good look, the structure and colours are (I think) interesting. Worth a closer look using full-screen.
