We are on the ferry to the Isle of Rum. We see here the Point of Sleat Lighthouse located at the southernmost tip of the Sleat peninsula on the Isle of Skye, with the mountainous profile of the Black Cuillins beyond
The current structure of the lighthouse is a modern, solar-powered automatic light established in 2003 on a concrete and skeletal framework, replacing the older 1934 tower.
Rum itself was a little further to our left here (out of picture).

A Vintage Photos Theme Park photo for the theme of curtains.

This 1906 portrait shows the "Mixed Ale Quartet." Four young men in suits sit in chairs with striped slipcovers. A patterned carpet rests at their feet, and lace curtains hang behind them. The men posed playfully for the picture, each wearing a humorous tag: "Fed with a Spoon," "Girls Wanted," or "Not Married." From left to right:

-- R. J. Ried wears a "Fed with a Spoon" tag.
-- J. J. Grace has his mouth wide open and pretends to sing. He wears a "Girls Wanted" tag.
-- J. J. Hallihan wears a "Not Married" tag and holds a small "Xaverians" sign. This sign suggests a connection to a school run by the Xaverian Brothers, a Catholic religious institute.
-- The Great What Is It (as he's named in the list) wears a "Fed with a Spoon" tag. He holds a folding ruler shaped like the number 4. The phrase "Sad but true" is written next to an arrow pointing at him.

This is a real photo postcard with an undivided back. It’s addressed to Mrs. Adelaide M. Scott, Arcadia, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. The card bears an initial postmark from Brooklyn, N.Y., Station L, on November 6, 1906, and a second one added in Arcadia, on November 7.

One normally does not associate monkeys with patio furniture, but a troop of vervet monkeys took advantage of the absence of lodge guests to enjoy the shade of the umbrella, sit on the cushioned chairs and leap amidst the furniture.

A few hours after moonrise, it has cleared the trees in our neighbourhood. But it hasn't cleared the thin clouds above us.

You can see Saturn not far below it tonight. Saturn's just a little dot in this picture, near the bottom edge.

And sometimes an airplane flies by, like a couple of minutes ago. This plane was going from Washington to Brussels.

Sunday challenge 216 Juxtaposition.
This subject does appeal to me. Usually, I would associate this with contrast of old and new, as in architecture. Other forms are natural v manmade, small v large.

In our coastal village there are few old v new opportunities, so have selected the natural v manmade option. Weeds (nut grass) growing through river pebbles, and the man made plant pot, containing a succulent.

The contrast between natural elements and human constructions is one of the most common and effective forms of juxtaposition. A tree growing through a fence. Wildflowers pushing through cracks in asphalt...

I *could* walk a hundred metres down the street and get a clearer view of the full moon in the eastern sky. But I am too lazy to put on shoes and I'm too much into my cup of tea to let it go cold. So I just stept out on the back deck and took a picture through the neighbourhood's trees.
