Saturday 15 August 2026 (1749) – As we queued to leave the July Racecourse in Newmarket well after the last race of the day at 1700, we observed a rowdy trio of passengers heading towards the mini-coach operated by Freestones Coaches of Norwich. One of the trio had a traffic cone on his head!

I don’t think the driver was amused at having to wait for these latecomers and no sooner had they boarded the vehicle it was on the move.

CU15 PBO is a 16 seat Ford Transit dating from March 2015

All white with contrasting wing mirrors! I don’t know its pedigree but it would no doubt have been a coach once used on National Express services.
