Auf der Landesgartenausstellung 2026 in Ellwangen wurde im Kreuzgang der der Ellwanger Basilika St. Vitus dieses originelle Blumengesteck mit frischen Pflanzen gezeigt, das mich sehr beeindruckt hat. Die wechselnden Blumenschauen des Fachverbands Deutscher Floristen in St. Vitus waren ein Highlight der Landesgartenschau. Zum Foto: Ich habe die Umgebung des Gestecks entfernt, um die Wirkung zu verbessern.

At the 2026 State Garden Show in Ellwangen, this original flower arrangement made with fresh plants was displayed in the cloister of St Vitus Basilica in Ellwangen, and it made a great impression on me. The changing floral displays organised by the Professional Association of German Florists at St Vitus were a highlight of the State Garden Show. About the photo: I have cropped out the background around the arrangement to enhance the effect.

A new day brings us to the very old town of Bishop Auckland. Set in a beautiful location it is home to the Bishops Palace, Deer park and the famous Kynren British history themed attraction.
The historic Auckland Castle gateway and clock tower was built around 1760 for Bishop Richard Trevor, serving as the grand ceremonial entrance to the former palace of the Prince Bishops of Durham. Features a distinct gothic-revival stone archway and a clock tower housing a remarkably ancient bell with an inscription that traces it back to between 1175 and 1200. This makes it one of the oldest bells in the world

The Onze LieveVrouwetoren (nicknamed Lange Jan), is a church tower in the city of Amersfoort. The building is more than 98 meters tall and reaches high above the inner city. It is one of the most eye-catching monuments in town and the third highest church tower in the Netherlands. The church that belonged to the tower was destroyed by a gunpowder explosion in the 18th century.

Die Schwarze Ernz (luxemburgisch Schwaarz Iernz, französisch Ernz noire), ein Bach in Luxemburg mit einer Länge von ca. 25 km. Sie entspringt südlich von Gréngewald (Grünewald) und mündet später in die Sauer.
Das Wasser, das aus den Quellen unterhalb der Sandsteinfelsen kommt, hat eine sehr gute Trinkwasserqualität.

Die Felslandschaft entstand vor allem dank der Erosion durch die Schwarze Ernz und die Sauer.
Heute ist sie durch Wanderwege (Mullerthal Trail) mit einer Gesamtlänge von über 112 km erschlossen und Teil des Deutsch-Luxemburgischen Naturparks.
