Première sortie en extérieur avec mon Panasonic LUMIX DC-FZ82D le dimanche 2 août 2026.
J’ai opté pour le quartier d’Ainay, rue Bourgelat.
À droite se trouve la maison des Mérieux, et à gauche, l’arrière de la basilique d’Ainay.

Saturday 1 August 2026 (1006) – Country Lion, Northampton F1 CLN, a Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B8R new in April 2022 with this registration, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills.

Cloud Nine Holidays is displayed which is a company owned by Country Lion and the website showed a Great Yarmouth day excursion today from Northampton (Victoria Street and Weston Favell), Wellingborough and Kettering.

(Unless the company has more that one such coach, this may be OU65 RHE that had been new to Bennett, West Drayton in September 2015 and acquired by Essex Tours in May 2025).

Saturday 1 August 2026 (0937) – The first of two plain white Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches operated by Grange Travel, Gravesend passed through Fiveways, Barton Mills heading to Great Yarmouth.

BV25 MFO, new in March 2025, was about to pull in for a break at the Shell Service Area.

The second coach, BV25 MDY new in April 2025, passed through just a minute later but did not stop.

Saturday 1 August 2026 (0938) – The second of two plain white Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches operated by Grange Travel, Gravesend passed through Fiveways, Barton Mills heading to Great Yarmouth.

The second coach was BV25 MDY new in April 2025 which passed through without stopping unlike the first, BV25 MFO new in March 2025, which pulled into the Shell Service Area for a break.

De Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik (SHM) voert met historisch stoomtrammaterieel een dienst uit op de toeristische spoorweg (museumlijn) Hoorn – Medemblik. Het bedrijf exploiteert ook, in samenwerking met Rederij Gebhard, de bootdienst Medemblik – Enkhuizen met het varend monument MS Friesland.

Het museum maakt gebruik van het voormalige goederen- en rangeeremplacement van station Hoorn. De eerste ritten met museummaterieel werden hier op 23 mei 1968 gemaakt. Het stoomtrambedrijf herinnert aan de vele stoomtrambedrijven zoals die tussen 1879 en 1966 in Nederland bestonden. Als leidraad voor de stoomtram wordt het jaar 1926 aangehouden.

De Museumstoomtram maakt gebruik van de lokaalspoorlijn tussen Hoorn en Medemblik, geopend in 1887.

Niet alleen het rollend materieel, maar ook de entourage van de lijn draagt bij tot het historische karakter van de tramdienst, zoals de in de jaren negentig gerestaureerde stationsgebouwen te Wognum-Nibbixwoud, Twisk en Opperdoes en het seinhuis te Hoorn, dat afkomstig is uit Kesteren. Het station te Medemblik is in 2007 in historische staat gerestaureerd.
