The Windau Ache in the Kitzbühel Alps is normally a modest little river. However, it can swell considerably during heavy rainfall or when the snow melts, as seen here after the unusual snowfall caused by the storms in September 2024.

Die Windauer Ache in den Kitzbüheler Alpen ist normalerweise ein bescheidenes Flüsschen. Bei starken Regenfällen oder zur Schneeschmelze kann sie allerdings stark anschwellen, wie hier nach den ungewöhnlichen Schneefällen infolge der Unwetter im September 2024.

This short video clip shows the course of the via ferrata to the centre. Then comes the rope bridge, and then the steeper final wall, which you can't yet see from down here.

Historic water distributor in the Gries Contemplation Trail near Längenfeld in the Ötz Valley (Tyrol, Austria). From here, the Ötztal Museum of Local History, which comprises 16 historic buildings, is supplied with water.
