Gustav Vigeland (11 April 1869 – 12 March 1943), born as Adolf Gustav Thorsen.
Vigeland occupies a special position among Norwegian sculptors, both in the power of his creative imagination and in his productivity.

Niels Henrik Abel (born August 5, 1802 in Nedstrand or Finnøy in Ryfylke, died April 6, 1829 at Froland's work in Aust-Agder) was a Norwegian mathematician. He addressed and solved problems that others had struggled with for hundreds of years, made new discoveries and formulated questions that are still central to modern mathematics to this day.
