A server at a Wienerschnitzel forerunner, then at her brother Frederick's first shop, then assisting milliners and hairdressers. Ultimately, it was handsome dentist Dr. Magnin who discovered her. Off to New Haven and the life of a suburban matron. Good thing she kept her figure all those years!!

Old ads which are mostly white with a little gray or halftone are Hell on (w)heels to clean up and brighten. lol This was at least a ten-pots-of-coffee endeavor. But thankfully not all in the same day. ;)

It takes a whole lot of DDT to keep the tomatoes so deliciously worm-free. :P

(I actually did get to fix a delicious pot of roasted tomato soup from scratch last month. But that was due to the gardening talents of someone at work who had too many tomatoes and they, uh... farmed them out to me.)
