In the TV series Tales from the Dark Side (created by George Romero), Paul Sparer delivered these lines in voice-over at the beginning of each episode:

"Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality.
But... there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real,
But not as brightly lit... a DARKSIDE."

Each episode also ended with a second voice-over during the closing credits:

"The dark side is always there, waiting for us to enter, waiting to enter us.
Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight."

With apologies to George Romero... and Paul Sparer :) The series ran from 1983 to 1988.

Not a fake spot of light. People forgot to turn off the light when they left the roof where they hang clothes on sunny days. It happens often. It seems that these people never heard of timer switches :)
