From 2018. Photographed with a very old 400mm f5.6 Nikon prime. I used that lens for most of my nature photography for a dozen years. Manual focus sharpened my skills and sometimes had advantages. I sold that lens and all my old film camera gear during the pandemic.

"Party Over" is painted on the porch wall of the house in Eugene, Oregon that served as "Animal House" in the 1978 film. I took this photo in the 1980s the day before it was torn down to make way for commercial development.

It's National Camera Day in the United States, so here's an old photo from my favorite camera for outdoor macro photography, the Panasonic FZ-200. Its sensor was only 10 megapixels, but so tiny that I didn't need to stop down to get acceptable depth of field. Ironically, its successor, the FZ-300, was the worst camera I ever owned.
