a second photo of the Kestrel I saw yesterday lunchtime. This was actually the first photo of the bird I took and I like that it is looking down and checking out the grassland below

This is the fire nearest to home in Longdendale.

Over the hills is another major fire above Dove Stone Reservoir.

Last night firefighters worked all night to create breaks and try to prevent the fires meeting on the moorland top.

Reports say the smoke can be smelt in the city streets of Manchester and beyond into Cheshire
