Update for Pam 9/28/2018

??? has started a discussion:

Hi! Just got this from Jay:

Pam is in the rehab facility, aka skilled nursing facility.

She will most likely be there for the next two weeks. Depending on her progress and what the insurance is willing to do, she may have another stay at an advanced rehab, aka inpatient rehab facility. Skilled nursing is low intensity 2 hours or so of PT per day. Inpatient is more intense with 4 or more hours of PT per day.

The facility is clean and bright with windows that look out on the front lawn. Everyone I met on the staff was friendly and supportive.

The address is:
Pam Johnson
Medical Park West, Room 605
3110 Healthplex Parkway
Norman, OK 73072

Pam is enthusiastic and working with the staff. Her motivation is that she wants to come home.

They are working on bathroom skills, standing, and using a walker.

They had to cut all her hair off because what was left was matted and tangled from the hospital stay.

She is back to talking in paragraphs when 3 or 4 words would answer most questions.

I dropped off her tablet, but she was having some problems. She knows what she wants to do, but she needs to relearn how to drive it. You may or may not get a note from her in the near future.

Such good news. Chris and Peggy

Pam is in a very foggy world. Some things are clear, others not so much.

She has not passed the swallow test but is improving in many other areas.

Pam was able to stand with assistance and there is a little movement in her left arm. That was very encouraging.
*************

Small steps moving forward.

??? has started a discussion:

For those of you haven't received word regarding Pam:

This is Chris aka Clickity Click, Diane P. and Peggy C. We are friends of Pam.

While this is a difficult message to send we feel that as a contact/friend of Pam Johnson or are members of one of her groups you would want to know the following:

Pam has suffered a brain hemorrhage and is in the Oklahoma University Medical Center.
Her husband has been at her side.

Please keep her in your prayers, thoughts and hearts. Any healing energies you send her way will be appreciated as well.
**************************************************
Chris - We received some updates that just indicated there had been no change in Pam's condition.

I am enclosing the updates from J: Pam's husband - received from Marty her friend who is in contact with J daily. They begin with the latest received yesterday 9/18/2018

*******************************************
Update on Pam from J:

"The breathing tube has been removed. Pam is still getting a little oxygen through her nose tubes. The drainage tube in her cranium has been removed and the hole has been sealed shut. She still has a food tube, but when she can demonstrate that she can eat and swallow, that will be removed as well. She was very groggy this morning, but responsive to instructions. The PT folks showed up and put her through a minor workout. They had her hold a wash cloth in her hand and wipe her face. She is trying to speak, but not there yet. She also managed to move her left foot a little when instructed.

"Doctor says they will keep her in ICU another day or so and then transfer her to a non-ICU room. Depending on progress, she will eventually go to a rehab facility."

**********************************************
Update a few days ago:

"Pam is awake! I went in at 9 am and she was awake. I told her everyone missed her and such. I told her I mowed the lawn and she raised her brow.

"Then she wanted to talk and could not because of the tube. That's when she went into a panic attack and they had to sedate her. So, I got 3 minutes with her.

"After the staff reported that she had been awake earlier in the morning, the head doctor decided it was time to remove the tube. That will probably happen today."

So, that was predictable. We all know how Pam feels about tubes. I'm hoping the tube is gone now, and maybe she won't remember what happened today.

********************************************************************
Chris

I will post any future updates to the group discussion page for you. Individual message via ip mail have become quite cumbersome due to the many, many people who know Pam and are concerned, that is why Peggy and I decided to pass along any future updates by way of her groups discussion pages.

The IMA Team were notified and in the latest NewsFlash people have been posting messages for Pam. Very heart warming!

Any continued prayers or thoughts for Pam are appreciated.

Will keep in touch.

Shuttering Yukon has started a discussion:

I am sure if you are part of this group you know this.. but for newbies here ya go

How To Create An Orb

Creating an orb is not difficult. Simply follow these steps in Photoshop:

Open your image. Make sure it is a single layer.

Crop the image into a square. This is a must for a circular orb. If not cropped into a square, an oval will be produced rather than an orb.

From the Filter Menu at the top of the screen, select Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates>Polar to Rectangular.

Next, from the Image Menu at the top of the screen, select Image>Rotate>Flip Vertical

Now return to the Filter Menu at the top of the screen and select Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates>Rectangular to Polar.

there you have created an orb!

or

In photo editing software: (Photo Shop elements)

Start with a square-cropped image

Under the "Filters" menu, select "Distort" then select "Polar Coordinates." and the "Convert Polar to Rectangle" option

Flip the distorted image (180˚) to bring it back right side up. Again, go under the "Filters" menu, and select "Distort" then select "Polar Coordinates." this time use the "Convert Rectangle to Polar" option.
