As this is a group for members who have joined our wonderful club from the world of flickr, let's welcome each other and build community by finding photos we like that are being taken for granted.

Search the group photos and take an extra moment to let someone know you've noticed their work. We all crave attention - otherwise, why would we be posting photos on the internet?

There are new photo friends to be found in this group. Time to communicate to bring us together.

Hi All,

Due to an admin leaving the group or the website, I have now been promoted to admin of this group.

This group seems to run itself pretty well. I am happy to consider suggestions for how to encourage group comments. I love the interactions over photography we have here on ipernity and for people coming from flickr (recently or ages ago!) I think it would be nice to help them feel welcome by commenting on their photos.

There are a lot of groups to choose from and only so much time to write comments - so I doubt I will make any hard requirements at all, but perhaps some suggestions?

Let me know if you care and/or if you have ideas about this.

Hi all refugees!

I'm liking the feel here. Seems to be quite like the old Flickr, but maybe a little better - it does seem to be a little more slick in operation, and better laid out.

Anyways - if anyone here remembers me (very big longshot, I know), as RobsPhotos2007, then I am here now as

My loves and "strengths" are flowers, birds and various animals. Some panoramas and landscapes - but fall down when there are people in the shots (just no good at them!).

being set on privacy for friends and family only, someone has within the last 45 minutes added it as one of their favourites.
I wonder on what basis they were able to access my image without being either friend or family? I suspect like much else their privacy settings are all screwed up...

Just noticed -- it was in one of my newsfeeds -- that Yahoo! has now placed an undefeatable Yahoo! menu bar atop all flickr pages. And there is general outrage.

Hi Friends!

I was going to start a group with this name, then discovered it already existed!! Thanks so much!!!!

The only thing I was going to do differently was to ask people (when posting a photo - or maybe even when they comment) to include their old flickr usernames in order to help us find old friends.

What do people think?
