I have just been promoted to co-admin of this group by Betty at my request. My motivation was to merge a number of other groups - that have been set up on this topic since ipernity was founded - with this group. Most of those groups have been abandoned by their administrators and have been neglected ever since. This does not at all make a good impression on visitors from the web.

This group was selected as the remaining one because it is the oldest and best moderated group on this topic By doing so, Betty and I want to express our appreciation to the founders and all the admins who have maintained this group over the years.

In the meantime, eight other groups have been merged with this one:

During the merger, all contributions and group memberships from these 8 groups were transferred here. Group memberships without content and images that did not comply with the group rule were dropped.

The remaining 2,127 entries are of at least average amateur quality (level 5 on a scale from 0 to 10). This means that this group is now qualified to be linked to the publicly effective collection Discover Groups.

We apologise for any mistakes that may have occurred during this extensive work. Contributions that have been deleted erroneously can of course be suggested again. It is also possible to move posts to the upper results pages by deleting them from the group and suggesting them again.

edit: With regard to the removal of inactive group memberships, it has to be noted hat of the 138 group memberships after the merger, 85 members remained who also have posted group contributions. This now gives visitors the impression of a well-maintained, lively group.
