Photographs of the old, rusty and corroded things around us daily. The abandoned, deserted, forgotten, broken. Things from our environment that have failed, left to corrode away, or rust because of neglect. Just "old" doesn't qualify here, though "old" can be a part of the photo's image. (i.e.; old houses, old wooden doors... no, that's not what we're looking for. A rusty old metal doorknob though, sure!) Just make sure the photo really conveys the "old, rusty & corroded" feeling. A long shot of some rusty item probably won't. There should be an artistic quality to your contributions here, something interesting that attracts the eye, something more than just old and rusty and corroded. Getting the idea? If you take five photos of the same object, please don't post all of them. Post what you feel is the best out of that five. ...and a word about junkyards. Enough. Really, the subject has been done to death. If you're going to shoot in a auto junkyard, please do something interesting. A photo of just a pile of rusty cars isn't going to make it in here. If you find a photograph you added has been removed (or wasn't approved), please do not take it personally. Photographs removed/not approved were because they did not fit this particular group. Because the frequent "re-addition" of previously denied photos has become chronic, be aware that if YOU keep doing this, you risk being removed from the group. Trust us, this group is hard enough to handle without having to moderate stuff over and over and over and over... you get the idea. While you're here, please have a look at the contributions of others too. Perhaps leave a comment if you enjoy their photo. This isn't a rule or commandment, just tryin' to be neighborly. :-)
