Flickr wird Teil von SmugMug

Hallo Freunde, mich erreichte heute folgende Mail von Flickr:

"Wir freuen uns bekannt zu geben, dass Flickr zukünftig zu SmugMug gehören wird, der Fotografie-Plattform für visuelle Storyteller.

SmugMug hat eine lange Tradition Menschen zu unterstützen, die Fotografie lieben und ihre Fähigkeiten verbessern wollen, was SmugMug zu einer perfekten Ergänzung für Flickr und unsere kreative Community macht. Auch mit SmugMug werden wir uns weiterhin auf Sie konzentrieren, die Flickr-Mitglieder, die uns alle mit Ihrer Arbeit inspirieren.

Es wird keine sofortigen Änderungen in Bezug auf Ihren Flickr-Account geben. Sie werden weiterhin mit Ihren aktuellen Zugangsdaten auf Flickr zugreifen und die gleiche Nutzererfahrung haben wie jetzt. Wir arbeiten ununterbrochen daran, Ihr Flickr-Erlebnis noch weiter zu verbessern.

Wir sind der Überzeugung, dass Ihnen Flickr als Teil von SmugMug gefallen wird, jedoch können Sie sich bis zum 25. Mai 2018 auch dafür entscheiden, Ihren Flickr-Account und Ihre Daten nicht an SmugMug zu übertragen. Falls Sie Ihren Flickr-Account und Ihre Daten nicht an SmugMug übertragen wollen ist es notwendig, dass Sie die Fotos und Videos, die Sie behalten möchten, von Ihrem Flickr-Account herunterladen. Danach müssen Sie Ihren Account bis spätestens 25. Mai 2018 in Ihren Account-Einstellungen löschen.

Wenn Sie Ihren Account bis zum 25. Mai 2018 nicht gelöscht haben, werden Ihr Flickr-Account und Ihre Daten an SmugMug übertragen und unterliegen den AGB und der Datenschutzerklärung von SmugMug.

Last year we informed you of our plans to retire Panoramio in order to invest our efforts into improving photo-sharing experiences directly inside Google Maps. This is a reminder that Panoramio will no longer be available after January 29, 2018.

Because you have linked your Panoramio profile with a Google account, all your Panoramio photos will be copied to the Google Album Archive at full resolution after Panoramio goes away. These copied photos will not use any of your Google storage quota. However, your Panoramio photos will stop appearing in Google Maps unless you upgrade to a Google+ account or join Local Guides. This is because Panoramio nicknames will no longer be supported, and we need your name to give attribution for your photos. If you've already done this, then you're all set.

If you want to keep contributing great photos to Google Maps and Google Earth, we want you to know about the other options available to you. Today, with photo upload tools in Google Maps and our Local Guides program, we are continuing to provide easy ways for you to share your photos. We also recently added a new Photos Layer to Google Earth, which includes Panoramio photos and other great community content.

To make this transition easier, we're providing several options to continue sharing photos through other services. If you choose, you can also export all your data and take it somewhere else.
1) Keep your photos in Album Archive

Because you have a Google account linked with your Panoramio account, we will automatically copy your Panoramio photos to the Google Album Archive when Panoramio is retired.

Copied photos will not use any of your Google storage quota.

If you activate Google+ on your account, then eligible images and your View Counts will be transferred into Google Maps and will be visible when you sign in to Maps and access the Contributions screen from the main menu.

2) Export your photos to a local zip file

Visit takeout.google.com and follow the instructions there.
3) Become a Local Guide

To keep adding photos to Google Maps and engage with a growing community of photographers, join the Local Guides program. You can earn points and unlock rewards for photos submitted with a Google account when they are linked to a point of interest or business. Many of your Panoramio photos may already be counted.

If you prefer to no longer share your photos with Google Maps, you can delete your Panoramio photos or your entire account at any time.

You can delete your Panoramio account (and photos) immediately by logging in, opening "Settings", and clicking the "Delete your account" option. You can also navigate to this page directly by using this link.

If you delete any photos (or delete your entire account) before Panoramio is retired, that content will not be automatically copied to the Google Album Archive and will stop appearing in Google Maps.

Please see our Help Center article for more information and the various options you have to save, transfer, or delete your content. We’ve appreciated your contributions over the years and hope you will continue to share amazing photos with the world.

New version of Google Earth for Andriod and Chrome:

Design is cool, but application is rather simplified. No photos from Panoramio, no wikiloc trails, no wikipedia entries, reduced support of KML.
Good bye full-featured desktop Google Earth. This step was something we were afraid (and expected) quite a long time.

Ich habe gerade festgestellt, dass diese Übersicht lückenhaft ist und daher nicht korrekt angezeigt wird. So tauchen z. B. folgende Fotos von mir darin gar nicht auf, obwohl sie genug Sterne haben:

Nr. 1
Nr. 2
Nr. 3

Statt dessen werden einige Bilder von der Seite 1 auf der Seite 2 erneut angezeigt.

Was mag der Grund für diese fehlerhafte Darstellung sein? Weiß jemand Rat?

seit 01. Februar bekomme ich keine Neuigkeiten, Aktivitätenmails und PN-Mail Informationen an meine hinterlegte private Mailadresse mehr zugeschickt, obwohl das nach wie vor aktiviert ist. Ist das bei Euch auch so?

Hallo zusammen,
warum hier diese Ruhe bei IP? Es hat sicher nicht immer Zeit für Fotos, für's Hobby und schon gar nicht so kurz vor Weihnachten. Mit Sicherheit hat da so mancher ganz andere Sachen auf dem Schirm. Ich muß gestehen, seit an der Anküdigung von der Schließung der Seite ist es mir auch recht schwer gefallen, damit umzugehen. Aber wenn es um den Wert der Seite geht (und um den geht es, wenn die Seite einen potentiellen Käufer finden soll) spielen Zugriffszahlen auf die Seite eine große Rolle. Unsere Clubmitgliedschaften ... phhh ... Einen Käufer interessieren die Zugriffszahlen, wenn er zukünftig eventuell Werbung platzieren, bzw. die Seite überhaupt weiterbetreiben möchte.
VG und trotzdem frohe Festtage.

Ich habe auf Flickr eine Gruppe für "Ipernity Survivers" eingerichtet, obwohl ich nicht weiß, wohin die Reise schließlich geht. Vielleicht ist es aber sinnvoll, sich da erst mal zu sammeln ohne gleich komplett umzuziehen. Viel Zeit bleibt nicht.

I have established a group for "Ipernity Survivers" on Flickr, even though I am not sure if that will be my final destination. It might be useful to make camp there for a while without moving over for good. There is not much time left.

Weak picture rendering on Ipernity vs Panoramio

I have noticed that the resolution of the pictures, if you don't enlarge them, is weak, sharpless and slightly out of focus. I can still see the difference with Panoramio, where pictures where showed at theirs right resolution and I also notice it with the same pictures posted on FB and of course in my library stored in the mac. Here in Ipernity you can choose to enlarge the picture though I think that it would be more interesting to show directly a detailed picture.
Do you guys notice the same or do I load my pictures wrongly though I don't understand where is the problem as I post them using the same system as i did in Panoramio and still do in FB: from original TIF file into Jpeg at max resolution.
