Hi,

I very occasionally upload videos. I have not done so for a while.

My most recent attempts have failed.

They do indeed show up as documents, so this is likely a codec issue.

However, I have uploaded videos from this device (Samsung S23) before - and have not knowingly changed any settings since then - although obviously phone updates may have changed things for me....

I am happy to use vlc to try and save with a different encoding - is there any hint or suggestion what I should be using?

Voilà 3 fois que j'essaye de renouveler mon abonnement par PayPal, sans succès PayPal me répond que ma carte Bancaire , N°.....est annulée pour le compte d'Ipernity.. j'ai contacté la banque qui elle ne me répond pas..
je vais arrivé en fin d'abonnement le 23/10/2024et je n'aurai toujours pas encore payé..
j'ai pratiquement tous les ans ce même type de problèmes..
alors que je viens de faire un renouvellement il y a quelque jours pour un autre club..sans aucun problème.. on me laisse comprendre que vu que Ipernity n'est pas un club sécurisé.. les contrôles sont plus strictes.. EFFECTIVEMENT le club me montre sur Internet comme n'étant pas sécurisé

Has anyone found a quick and easy way to upload to ipernity from either an Android phone or from Google Photos? At home, dump my photos from my main camera onto my desktop computer and upload to ipernity from there -- easy, no problem. When I travel, I bring a Chromebook and a Pixel 7a mobile phone. I prefer to edit the photos in Google Photos rather than on the phone itself. The "share" button on Google Photos doesn't give me an option to share to ipernity, and the email option works only with Gmail accounts. I seem to be able to download a photo from Google Photos to my Chromebook and then upload it to ipernity from there, but I'm wondering if there's an easier way. Thanks.

Hallo zusammen! Auf meiner Seite habe ich außer Alben auch Ordner erstellt. Wenn ich im Dropdown Menü auf "Reihenfolge der Ordner ändern" klicke, bekomme ich eine fast leere Seite angezeigt. Ich kann das also nicht ändern. Die Reihenfolge der Alben innerhalb des Ordners ändern funktioniert. Irgendetwas stimmt da nicht. Der Fehler tritt sowohl im Firefox als auch mit edge auf.

The need to press Ctrl+F5 to activate the revision has been removed, so everyone should now simply find it is again working as before.

When viewing a single photo page, press Ctrl+F5
Just the once, after that the revised file should be used, so that 'Locate' in 'Organize' will also work.

Please comment on success, or if you still encounter any problems.

This is proving to be a very difficult problem to solve.

While we have little doubt that something has changed on the Google side, it does not seem to be an error by them, which would have been corrected by now. So it is up to us to find where the problem is, and what to do to correct it.

☑ Backup/Download of large albums - Help needed

Currently ipernity has one process that will work for downloading (backing up) albums for those with paid club memberships. This process uses uGet and is described here in FAQ 6.2: www.ipernity.com/doc/2319670/48296484
The alternate DownLoadThemAll no longer appears to work with our metalink file.

Unfortunately this process is somewhat complex and has a couple drawbacks. It has been discovered by members using the process that the original file names are not retained with this method. Also, often, if not always, the download halts or errors out after about 60 files, requiring members to either make their albums no larger than 50-60 individual files, or to understand how to edit the metalink file to obtain the missed files for larger albums.

The team is looking for help. We need ideas on alternatives to uGet, or perhaps directions on how to optimize uGet regarding the limited number of files.

I can't get the greasemonkey Flickr importer to work. Everything appears to be setup correctly. Greasemonkey reports that the import script is running, but I don't see the button to click to start the import process. I remember in my previous attempts to use this (when I was a member of ipernity previousy) that it was problematic and that there was some trick that was needed to get the button to show once the script was running. But, I can't remember what that trick was. Can you help? -- Carl

I am no longer able to upload videos to ipernity, although I did so successfully only two days ago (e.g. www.ipernity.com/doc/2611570/51802312). I have repeatedly attempted to upload 8 MP4 files to the album www.ipernity.com/doc/2611570/album/1342100 in both Edge and Firefox (running under Windows 10). In each case, the Upload GUI behaves as if the files were successfully uploaded, but they are then nowhere to be found. The media have the following Codec: MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hvc1). Why is this happening? In particular, why does the upload fail without giving any indication of failure?

Most of the photos I have uploaded have no embedded title information. In this case, ipernity just assign the filename (without extension) which works for us, since the filename usually reflects the sequence in which the photos in a given album were taken. This is also how we like to sort them (using "Change order - Title (a-z)" from "Reorganize the photos" in the album's "Tools" menu.
I recently uploaded a photo with a real title embedded (https://www.ipernity.com/doc/2611570/51788526/in/album/1341424) to an existing album (https://www.ipernity.com/doc/2611570/album/1341424). This resulted in it being placed at the end of the album. When I saw this, I changed the title in ipernity to have the same form as the other photos in the album and attempted to repeat "Change order - Title (a-z)" to put it into the proper place in the sequence of photos. However, this is having no effect.
Is this a bug or have I misunderstood how this is supposed to work?
How can I get this photo back where I want it?

Photo's / Movies is grey after upload

I have uploaded an image or video. Afterwards when I go into the album to have a look the images as grey with a picture of a disk. The only way I can see how to view the image or video is to download it. Why is that?

Even after using ipernity for more than a year, I find it a bit awkward. Some of this is probably due to the fact that I tend to use it sporadically: intensively for short periods of time with long pauses in between. Here are some things which might be made easier for everyone:
1. The page "Help & Contact" says, "You'll certainly find answers in our FAQ, "How to use ipernity" or in our documentation." The FAQ is hyperlinked, but "documentation" is not. Where can one find the "documentation"?
2. The sticky post "Please read before opening new topic" says, "Check that your problem is not already dealt with on Frequently Asked Questions." and "Check through the topics already posted in this group." However, I do not find any way to search either the FAQ or the Help Central discussions". How is one supposed to check for existing information in these places?

P.S. I initially used some improperly formatted HTML tags above, but find no way to correct them. It would be nice to have a "preview" function to check post formatting before submission.

I have found the FAQ article www.ipernity.com/help/faq/album which discusses backing up individual albums, but we have a lot of albums and need a fully automated process. What method(s) are other ipernity members using for this purpose?
